1912 Masquerade at the Occidental Hotel

Masquerades remained popular into the 1930s. Nellie Baker, who assisted in the delivery of many babies in the community, won first prize for this stork costume. Bob Cowan who helped his grandmother and father make the costume remembered that each feather was stuck on by hand. His father pictured on the right also won a prize.
